Philippines still ranked 3rd worldwide on environmental defender deaths

As Global Witness release their 2023 annual Environmental Rights Defenders report, Standing Firm – On the frontline of defending their environment, the Philippines maintains its place with the highest number of environmental defenders killed in Asia, and the deadliest country for environmental defenders outside of Latin America – a shameful 3rd place worldwide.
