The UK Campaign For Human Rights in the Philippines (CHRP-UK) was set up in 2006, at a time when “disappearances” and extra-judicial killings in the Philippines had sharply escalated.
We work entirely through our volunteer membership and donations to raise issues about human rights in the Philippines.
Our activities include lobbying the UK Government and Members of Parliament concerning UK trade and foreign policy; organising events highlighting human rights issues in the Philippines; developing solidarity links between trade unions, environmental groups, journalists, parliamentarians, and others with their counterparts in the Philippines.
We encourage trade unions to affiliate to CHRP-UK at both national level (£250) and branch level (£70). Please ask your union and/or your local branch to affiliate.
