About The Organization
Gabriela Organising Committee – UK Chapter, in co-operation with Filipino Domestic Workers Associaiton (FDWA-UK) and Kanlungan Filipino Alliance
Gabriela organizing Committee – UK Chapter is a group of women from the Philippines, with different backgrounds, who have experienced abuse and discrimination because of their gender. Our aim is to empower ourselves, to fight against abuse and discrimination that we face in our daily lives!
We named our group in honor of Gabriela Silang, the first Filipina who led the revolt against Spanish Colonization in the Philippines. She remains to be the beacon of women struggles in the Philippines.
This event is in co-operation with the Filipino Domestic Workers Association FDWA-UK and Kanlungan Filipino Alliance
